Today was supposed to be a stay at home and do something useful day but it somehow didn’t work out that way.
We have been working on my friend and neighbours bike for a while and Richard has been fettling it. So we decided to give it a short try out by riding to the bikers café near Thirsk.
So the three of us did and we were very impressed with it.
The owners were very friendly and the food was good. Oh and we made friends with Roxy the dog. I think they will do well there.
Peters bike was still running a bit rough so we had a bit more of a ride about then he left us at Northallerton and limped off home while Richard and I went back to Thirsk to meet up with Jan who had managed to escape for a couple of hours.
We sat and had a coffee and ice cream in the market square for a while then headed off back home. So it turned out to be a pleasant day.
I apologise to those we told they would not be a ride. This was not planned. However there will be a ride next Sunday.
