Four of us had a brilliant Saturday ride over to Grosmont station to watch the steam engines coming and going, We went over the beautiful Commondale Moor passing through some picturesque villages on the way and stopping at a wayside cafe on the way. We then rode across the North York Moors through Pickering to Helmsley for a lunch break. As usual the place was packed with bikes. We left there and headed to Thirsk then Northallerton where Alan headed home and we went by the back roads to Scorton then Middleton Tyas and then down the old A1 back to Darlington. The weather was perfect for riding over this beautiful part of the country.
