For the first Cambs and Lincs trip abroad we decided not to go too far so we spent 4 nights at Givet, France located near the Belgium border. Unfortunately due to an eye operation Jon Parr was unable to come so the two of us set off. Jim Stowe on his beautifuul Valkerie and myself on the Silverwing. Twisty roads and attractive villages was the order of the trip and beautiful weather kept with us for the entire time. We stumbled on a ‘brocante’ (flea market) in Rochehaut, Belgian and tasted ‘Gaufre de Liege’ (Belgian waffles). We visited beautiful Dinant with its unique onion domed church and took a ride in a cable car to the Citidel perched on an outcrop above the town. All to soon it was time to return to the ferry and back home.
