HONDA IDENTIFIES FUEL RETURN HOSE PROBLEM
ON 2001 CBR600F-1

Honda (UK) will be advising some owners of its 2001 model CBR600F-1 to contact their local authorised Honda dealer in order to have rectification work carried out to their machine’s fuel return hose. Only customers with affected units will be contacted.

The company has identified that, in a strictly limited production batch, the fuel return hose for the machine’s fuel injection system may have been fitted incorrectly. Honda has determined that in extreme circumstances, the hose may be restricted leading to the possibility of excessive fuel pressure and subsequent fuel leakage.

Honda’s network of authorised UK dealers has also been notified of this potential problem and given workshop instructions to rectify the fault. The rectification work is expected to take approximately half an hour in each case and will be carried out free of charge.

Honda (UK) has emphasised that no cases of fuel return hose failure have been reported in the UK and the company has taken these rapid and effective steps as a precautionary measure.

Customers requiring any further details related to this action are advised to call a Honda Helpline number 01628 496046 where staff will be available to help between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
