H-C Travel is looking for volunteers! We’ve been running our Roof of the World tour from Kathmandu (Nepal) to Lhasa (Tibet) for 10 years now, and we are looking for adventurous riders to join us on a recce trip along the newly opened Silk Road.
Starting in Lhasa, our 18-day tour will head for Everest Base Camp (mainly on the Friendship Highway), and then continue west on the Silk Road, past the Tibetan Lakes, to the regional capital of Kashi in western Xinjiang, an ancient crossroads and famous for its bazaar.
We plan to run a mix of bikes, including Royal Enfields, Chinese bikes and possibly KTMs.
The itinerary is not fixed, the accommodation can be pretty poor (just read any reviews of Rongbuk!), and some of our usual level of organisation will be absent.
Price is expected to be around £3500-£4000 per person, plus UK - Beijing return flights.
